BEST CHEESEBALL EVER!

Easiest recipe and oh, so yummy!
I doubled the recipe for the one shown, but standard recipe is:
1 package cream cheese
1/2 package dry ranch dressing
1-2 cups grated cheese (whatever looks good)
Mix together well and roll in chopped nuts

THANKSGIVING DAY PREVIEW

My sister and her family got together today and had 'Mock Thanksgiving Day.' Since both of our families are going elsewhere for the actual day, we decided to get together and have turkey dinner with each other today. It was strange not having mom and dad there, but we know they are where they want to be (Brazil, Maceio Mission). So Catherine tackled the turkey, rolls, salad and drinks while Josh and I did the mashed potatoes/gravy, stuffing, pumpkin pie and the cheeseball. It turned out great! I kinda forgot to take many pictures, but I did get a few.
HAPPY TURKEY DAY!
The table
Too many cooks in the kitchen?
Yummy cheeseball
The company
The carcass! :)

AND THE WINNER IS . . .

OK, so according to your votes, the winner is NO FACIAL HAIR.
But, the vote that really counts is mine ~~
(ok, a little self centered maybe, but true, right?)
I am not a big facial hair person, but when it comes to my hubby, I actually prefer it. Not mountian main hair like in the picture shown just prior to shaving, but more like the one pictured here.

LOVE YOU BABE!

WE PASSED

Cullen and I just finished our hunter's safety course. We had our shooting test on Saturday, which caused me great anxiety because I've never handled guns much before. Then, I discovered that my left eye is dominant, so I should be shooting left handed. I didn't have time to practice before hand, so I was a little stressed. But, I passed. And Cullen passed. We took the written portion of the test tonight, and we both passed. We are official hunters!!!

Poll time: With or Without?

So one of Josh's friends, Bryan, bet him to not shave his beard until he got his elk. Well, he got his elk, so he has shaved. But I'm taking a poll to see who prefers him with a beard and who prefers him without. I'll tell you my vote in a later post.

HE GOT IT ! ! !

Josh drew out a Bull Elk tag this year. He hunted all last weekend; came home Monday night; went out again Thursday morning. The hunt ended Friday. It looked like his luck was running out. For those of you who know my hubby, you know his luck is not that great. :) But on the 11th hour, he scored! It wasn't the huge bull he was hoping for, but not bad. He had to leave it on the mountain and come home for some help to haul it out. So, his journey is not over yet, but HE GOT ONE!!!

SICK OF IT . . .

by vblackangelv Pictures, Images and Photos
So Cady has been potty trained for a few months now, but has had a lot of accidents lately, so I we were snuggling last night and I asked her "what's goin' on?" She candidly replied, "I'm sick of being potty trained." Gotta love the honesty of kids! :)

PHEASANT HUNT

A couple of weeks ago, Josh, his dad,
his brother Ammon, and Cullen
took our two dogs, Izzy and Tank
and went out pheasant hunting.
This is a male ritual I know nothing about.
They walk around a lot, get wet, cold and tired,
point their guns at birds, and if they're lucky,
they actually shoot one. :)
Well this is Cullen's first time
out on the big pheasant hunt.
He looks soooo cute and grown-up.
I think he had fun except that Josh
had him squeeze his size 3 feet into size 1 boot.
I guess he needs some new hiking boots!
Pretty amazing he didn't complain much!
This year they actually got 8 birds. I think.
Anyone wanna come over for a nice pheasant dinner?
Come on over!
