Uncle Terry

My uncle Terry passed away last Saturday night.
He was a great man. I will remember him best for his great sense of humor. It's hard to see your relatives go. He will be greatly missed. I know it's expecially hard on my parents who are on their mission right now because they wish they could be here to support Aunt Judy and her family. My thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.

Terry Gene Anderson, 71, of Richfield, passed away July 25, 2009 in Provo, Utah. He was born December 22, 1937 in Fairview to Hugh Cheney and Ella Gladys Barker Anderson. He married Judith Ralph, June 12, 1963 in the Logan LDS Temple.

From his early boyhood days, Dad has enjoyed camping and hiking in canyons and mountains with family. He shared the music skills of his mother and sister in singing solos and participating in choirs in church, community events, and in neighboring communities. He also shared his mother’s talent for sketching portraits of scenery with chalk and pencil and his love of gardening. From his father, he inherited the talent and love of woodworking and was often known by family, friends, and members of his community for his various projects.

He enjoyed continual learning through reading and study.Dad worked for 26 years at the Sevier Valley Hospital as a medical technician.Dad served faithfully and diligently in various callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Great Lakes Mission (Columbus, Ohio) and loved missionary work throughout his life. He also served faithfully as a temple ordinance worker in the Manti Temple.

He is survived by his wife Judy, of Richfield; children: Annette Anderson, Fremont, CA; Terry Bruce (Monica) Anderson, Rock Springs, WY; Heather Marie (Tyrell) Osterhout, Delco, ID; Barbara Jean (Marc) Ence, Sacramento, CA; David Hugh (Monica) Anderson, Riverton; Eric Jay(Deborah) Anderson, San Jose, CA; Daniel Lynn Anderson, Riverton; 13 grandchildren; brothers: Robert Anderson, Orem; John (Ruth) Anderson, Salt Lake City.Preceded in death by parents; brother Dale (Laurie) Anderson; sister, Ella Florine (Leon)Nielson; sister-in-law Carol Anderson.

Kenny Chesney

Thurday night Josh and I went to the Kenny Chesney Concert
I Love Kenny! We go almost every year that he comes.

There was a good lineup. Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Sugarland (who ended up canceling cuz their lead singer lost her voice :( I was really looking forward to them) and Kenny.

And once again, Kenny put on an amazing show.

But the venue: not so great. The sound wasn't that great and worst of all: IT WAS TOOOOO HOT! Luckily we were in the shade, but the concert started at 5:30! TOOO HOT! I don't think I would go to another concert there. But we had fun anyway!

Laci is 6!

Laci Jane is 6 years old today!

I remember where I was when they called me. I was on shift in Operating Room 2 at LDS hospital. We thought we were "done" having kids. Two was a good number for us and we had gone through enough stress with Landon's adoption that we decided we were "done". We had told DCFS not to call us anymore. But when Cullen's mom had another baby that was available for fostering, they called us so they could keep siblings togethers. They said they had a 2-month-old baby girl! Surprise! I called Josh and he said, "well, you've always wanted a girl!" I called DCFS back and told them we were interested. The only draw back -- we couldn't get you until the next day. When I picked you up, you were so bright-eyed. You had the tiniest nose of any person I had ever seen. You were so cute! (you still are!)

Thank you for joining our family! You have definately added personality and spunk to our family. You have always been VERY determined and energetic! These qualities will work to your advantage throughout your life.

Your middle name is Kristine for your grandma Bott
She was only able to know you for 2 months
But she loved you soooooooo much!
There were many questions about whether
or not your mom and dad could handle another kid . . . .
But you were meant to be in our family

have you join our CRAZY clan!
You were such an adorable baby.
You had tons of BLACK hair

10 Years Old!

Today is my first baby's birthday! Cullen is 10 years old!
Where does the time go?
I don't think I'm old enough to have a ten-year-old!

Cullen, I will never forget the day we found out about you. It was July 20, 1999 about noon. I was at work and DCFS called and told me that they had a 6-day-old baby boy for us. I FREAKED OUT!!!!! And they said we could go pick you up from the hospital that day! Talk about no notice! I called Josh and told him. I was worth nothing at work anymore! My insides felt like they were bouncing off the walls! I was supposed to work a 12 hour shift that day, but luckily a coworker volunteered to stay the last 4 hours for me.

The first time I saw you was AMAZING!!! You were this tiny little bundle with TONS of black hair. You were such a beautiful baby. I fell in love immediately. My bond to you was instant. You were my baby. We were able to take you home that day. We went and introduced you to your Grandparents and cousins. Boy were they surprised! What a day that was!

Now look at you. Ten years old! Such a handsome, thoughtful, responsible, CRAZY boy you've grown up to be.
I freakin' love your guts buddy!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I'll love you for ever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living,
My baby you'll be

If I can get my scanner to work, I will post pics over the years, but I wanted to get this posted for now.

4th of July Weekend . . . Moab Part 1

Day 1 . . . Gemini Bridges
Wow! It is beautiful and Scary!
Don't fall!
Cady

DEEP crevices!

Josh

Pictures don't do it justice!
These are some seriously
DEEP and beautiful canyons!
The ledge we are on hangs over . . .
NOTHING underneath us!

We found some natural pools.
We didn't have our camera for most of it.
There were low cliffs that the kids jumped off.
We had a BLAST!
