Today is my first baby's birthday! Cullen is 10 years old!
Where does the time go?
I don't think I'm old enough to have a ten-year-old!
Cullen, I will never forget the day we found out about you. It was July 20, 1999 about noon. I was at work and DCFS called and told me that they had a 6-day-old baby boy for us. I FREAKED OUT!!!!! And they said we could go pick you up from the hospital that day! Talk about no notice! I called Josh and told him. I was worth nothing at work anymore! My insides felt like they were bouncing off the walls! I was supposed to work a 12 hour shift that day, but luckily a coworker volunteered to stay the last 4 hours for me.
The first time I saw you was AMAZING!!! You were this tiny little bundle with TONS of black hair. You were such a beautiful baby. I fell in love immediately. My bond to you was instant. You were my baby. We were able to take you home that day. We went and introduced you to your Grandparents and cousins. Boy were they surprised! What a day that was!
Now look at you. Ten years old! Such a handsome, thoughtful, responsible, CRAZY boy you've grown up to be.

WOW! I didn't know how quickly that all happened. What a whirlwind of a day that must have been. Happy birthday to your baby-ten years old. We were only three-four years older than our oldest when we met!!!!

Happy Birthday Cullen, and Good for you Jen & Josh!! He is a great little guy, and I have tears in my eyes as I read this touching tribute to him. I too can't believe it's already been 10 years! Wow....Love you guys!
