Laci, Cady and I went to High School Musical 3 today. I should be a little embarrased to admit this, but I LOVED IT!!!!! It is a great clean, high energy, family friendly movie. I wanted to get up and dance--my girls did--but I refrained (have any of you seen me dance !?!?!?!). I highly recommend it to anyone with kids!

I think I'm in love with Zac Efron! (okay--maybe not, but if I was 18--you betcha!)

Halloween Party

Josh, Cullen, Landon and I went to a Halloween Party Saturday Night. It was at Lorey and Todd Bingham's house. (I work with Lorey). We had a ton of fun. Thanks Lorey and Todd!

JUST IN TIME FOR HALLOWEEN!

Cullen decided last week that he really wanted to be blonde. I kept putting him off thinking he'd forget about it, but he kept bugging me. So I prepped him by telling him what usually happenes when a black-haired person tries to dye their hair blonde. He decided to take the risk and give it a go. Here are the results. He loves it!

Family Movie Night

On a snowy Sunday afternoon, there's nothing better than curling up with a blanket, munching on popcorn and watching a good ol' classic. We broke out the original Star Wars, which the kids had never seen. Cady wasn't too thrilled about it, but it kept the attention of the other kids -- for the most part. Hard to believe this classic was made when I was 2 years old :)

It was kind of funny watching it -- the effects were not so great by our modern standards.

Josh and I laughed the whole way through. But it was fun anyway.

We woke to snow today! What a beautiful sight!

Rat Pack

Thursday night Josh and I went to see "The Rat Pack". It was the first in the series of our "Broadway Across America" season tickets. I wasn't overly excited about it, but knew it would be a night out on the town. Well, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! Those were the good times of good music. I loved it!

TRACY AVIARY

So my kids are off track right now and driving me and each other crazy!!! So I've been trying to come up with fun, cheap things for us to do to keep us busy. We have an annual membership to Hogle Zoo, and I noticed that on the first Thursday of every month we can get in free to Tracy Aviary. So off we went today. I've never been there before so it was adventure for all of us. I highly recommend going, especially if you have never been there.

It was feeding time. We got to see them feed the pelicans . . . "Andy" the Condor . . .

The red-tailed hawks and the vultures (not shown, but the rats they were fed them are).Then we made the rounds and saw LOTS of cool birds, most of which I don't remember what they are, but the ones I do remember, I will label.

Laci found this slipper next to the flamingo exhibit and decided it would be a good idea to throw it in the water (???). So when I finally got her to admit she had done it (she blamed Cullen, he blamed her) I told her we had to go find a worker and tell them what had happened so a bird wouldn't eat it and die. She broke down into tears and didn't want to tell them, but we eventually found someone, they got it out of the water, and all is well. Hopefully she learned her lesson!!

Ever wonder what a rats testicles look like?? Cullen got a kick out of this one.

And the best of all was the Laughing Kookabura. I tried to get a good video of them, but their best "laughter" happened before I could get the camera ready. Their "laugher" is AWESOME!!
