Trip to Washington: Day Two

Day Two:
February 25, 2011
Portland, OR
Emily had been wanting to see the Pittock Mansion,
but no one in her family of boys would go with her.
So what are girls weekends for!!
Amazing house!
Amazing view!
Marble staircases
Revolutionary showers
I chose a VERY cold weekend to visit.
But it made for some great pics!
Emily took me to see Powell's Bookstore ..
Largest Independent Used and New Bookstore in the World.
Amazing!
Only in Portland do you see street signs like this ...
One of Emily's favorite doughnut shops
VooDoo Doughnut
Mount Hood off in the distance

Sweethearts Race

Josh decided to sign us all up for the Sweethearts Race. The plan was for Josh & I to run the 5K and the kids to run the 1K. Well, I hadn't run for a few months and we didn't want to have to worry about finding someone to watch the kids while we ran, so we decided to all run the 1K together. The kids had a blast. They all keep asking when we are gonna run another race. I guess we'll have to make a tradition of it!
