Izzy had some seriously thick fur! She was so hot and uncomfortable. So Josh tackled the HUGE task of shaving her. Boy, did she look silly! But she was much more comfortable.

Field Trip to Antelope Island

In all my years living in Utah, I have NEVER been to Antelope Island!

I've always wanted to go there, but it's just never happened. So one day, I packed up Landon, Laci and Cady and off we went. We first stopped at the Visitor's Center, which held the kids' interest longer than I thought.

Then, we headed to the "beach". The kids have watched way too much of the Discovery Channel lately, so they were worried about sharks, but after much reassurance that they did not live in the Great Salt Lake, they finally went in ...

The bugs were horrible! But they stayed mostly at the water's edge, so if you were back on the beach a ways, or in the water, you were generally ok.

Except for the bugs, it really was fun! I'd like to go again and explore more of the island. I did enjoy the white sand beaches!

Laci Gets Baptized!

Today Laci got Baptized.

She looked so darn cute.

She was so nervous and embarrased, but she did great.

Green River Fishing Trip

For Father's Day, Josh gave his dad a fishing trip to the Green River.

They finally were able to go and looks like they had a great time.

Wally Vance, a good friend of my parents from Phoenix, Arizona was in town visiting. Landon, Laci and Cady were spending the day with my parents, so the kids got to spend some time with Wally too. They thought he was the coolest guy (and, of course, he is). They went to the park and posed for a few pics.
