AIR SUPPLY

Friday night, we hopped on the FUN BUS to Wendover! FUN BUS always presents a lot of amusement and entertainment. I love to people watch and there are definetaly LOTS of DIFFERENT people to watch on the FUN BUS.

Gotta love the Bingo on the Bus!

When we got to Wendover, we headed to the concert hall to see AIR SUPPLY! Call me old, but I love AIR SUPPLY!! The fun bus got us there a little late, so we missed the first 20 minutes of the concert and then they only played for 40 minutes. But it was good. "Some of their love songs are surprisingly poignant" (name that movie). The crowd was full of ladies who dragged their husbands to the concert. THANKS JOSH! Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell (the lead singers) came out into the audience during one of their songs, so I ran down and got a picture with Graham. Cheesy concert, and not long enough, but still fun. Thanks for humoring me Joshie!
me and Graham Russell :) After the concert we ate at the Montego Bay Buffet then headed to the casino where I lost $7 in a blackjack machine. Then we met up with Trish & Sam and Bobbi & Travis and hung out with them until 1:30 when we caught the fun bus back home. Got home at 4am. Thanks Kristy for watching the kids so we could go. Love ya!

THE CULT

This is the term of endearment that Emily's hubby has so appropriately (?) given us. Some of us have been friends for 28 years. These friendships have endured many trials (water pitchers, boys, puberty, marriage, kids, miles, etc.), and yet we remain close. We still celebrate every baby, wedding, and whatever excuse we can use to get together. We try to go out monthly, although it doesn't always happen. This past week, we met at Rumbi's in Bountiful and ended at Nielson's Frozen Custard (yum!). We know (almost) everything about each other and yet we STILL love each other. Here's to another 28 years! Love you girls!

Of course I didn't know pictures were gonna be taken,
so I have no makeup on and it was definately a "hat" day.
Maybe next time . . .

GREAT QUOTES

You are the best mom ~~ eber, eber (Cady, after getting what she wants)

Mom has two belly buttons (Laci, after poking Josh's belly. The "second" belly button comes compliments of my Lap-Band surgery/infection.)

You are the meanest mom! (Cady after yelling at her to get BACK in bed)

Mom, could you PLEASE try to stop yelling (Cullen--trying to sleep-- after me yelling at Cady to get back in bed)

Mom~~tickle my penis (Cullen, age 3, dead silence of sacrament meeting)

Cady, you're such a dick (Cullen, age 6, right after we got Cady, must have heard that one at school--he said it very endearingly like oh, Cady you're such a sweetie!)

What the hell? . . . (Laci while doing homework. Can't imagine where she heard that?)

I guess I don't hate you anymore (Laci after I told her her aunt was coming to stay the night)

Weekend at the Cabin

For Valentine's/President's Day Weekend, we spent a few days at the cabin.

Saturday, headed to Jackson ~~ traveling is HARD

Lunch at Billy's

We were gonna go on a sleigh ride out to see the elk, but they were all full, so we hung out at the Visitor's Center for a bit and played in the snow.

This is what happens when you try to run on the slick snow/ice with your hands in your coat pocket.

Dinner at Bubba's (of course)

Cabin Fever Activities

We went to see the elk on the refuge, but we were 30 min. too late for good watching ~~ they we're heading up the mountain to bed down for the night.

Playin in the snow at the cabin ~~ there was LOTS of it!

CHEESE TIME

When Josh and I were dating, I always did cute, cheesy things for him. Every once in awhile, I do them for him now. I know they are really cheesy, but everytime I do them, he says, "AWWWWW, you used to do things like this for me when we were dating . . . you just made my day." So, cheesy or not, I think they are appreciated. This year for Valentine's Day, I made one of those candy bar posters for him. And it goes something like this . . .

Hey Big Hunk, This may be EXTRA CHEESY, and some may argue CORNEY, but please don't SNICKER and don't be a JERK. But you are truely my SWEETHEART. You have been my LIFESAVER more than once. We've had GOOD AND PLENTY times; and even after 12 1/2 years, you still make me FLIP. HUBBA BUBBA ~~ I love you to PIECES! Jen
Love you Joshie!

Melting Pot

This is the 2nd annual Valentine's Day Feast at the Melting Pot with good friends (who I guess are cousins, but I think of them more as friends) Bryan & Vicki. Such GOOD food. We always go a week or so early, cuz I HATE going out on Valentine's Day. Here's to another year! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
